European Championships 2018 – Glasgow & Berlin
A major sporting event is coming to Glasgow and Berlin – the thrilling European Championships 2018. With the athletics portion of the Championships being held in Berlin, Glasgow will host all other sports during this world-renowned occasion.
Two host cities, 7 sports, 52 participating nations, 4200 talented athletes – this is one event that shouldn’t be missed. An estimated television audience of 1.03 billion people and half a million spectators will watch an action-packed programme of sports which include athletics, cycling, a triathlon, gymnastics, golf, swimming and rowing.

Of course, the sport we are most excited about is the cycling. With four cycling sports and an action-packed schedule of events, the cycling portions of the Championships should not be missed.
Head over to Glasgow’s Chis Hoy Velodrome at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow to witness nail-biting track cycling where cyclists compete at close measures to reach first place.
The Road Cycling event transforms the city as roads are closed to make way for talented cyclists who will make their way through Glasgow City Centre, Dunbartonshire and Sterling.
Spend the day at scenic Cathkin Braes Mountain Bike Trails and find your need for speed as these adrenaline junkies take on steep inclines, sharp turns and dirt tracks during this white-knuckle competition.
Another extreme sport to witness is the BMX cycling which will be held at the Glasgow BMX centre. Look on as competitors exhibit their skills and compete to reach knockout rounds and then eventually, the finals.
